You can’t learn to drive until you have obtained your provisional driving license from the DVLA.

Go to the GOV.UK website to apply for your provisional driving licence.

If you already have your provisional driving license, you can skip this step.

Book driving lessons

Get in touch with us to check the availability for your first driving lesson with Simply Driving.

You’ll be able to book further driving lessons online after your first lesson, by registering for a Simply Driving Account.

On your first driving lesson, please make sure that you bring your provisional driving license with you, plus, any glasses if you need them to drive.

As soon as you’ve applied for your provisional driving license, it’s a good idea to start preparing for your theory test.

If you feel ready, go ahead and book your driving theory test.

Remember: you must take your provisional driving license with you, or you will not be allowed to take the test, and you will lose your fee.

As soon as you’ve passed your theory test, then you’ll start preparing for your practical driving test more.

You’ll have mock driving tests, and you’ll be driving more independently, in preparation for the test.
